A Beacon of Light for a Rural Community
We
worship God each Sunday, offering a warm welcome to all and genuine caring
concern. We are keen to know more about the Lord, His message and how to
make it work in the wider world. Worship is conducted in English, but you
may also hear some Welsh being spoken, as we have a number of Welsh speakers
and learners in the congregation. Our chapel is not a dour place - we like
to laugh and we always linger and socialise at the end of morning worship.
We have a house group which meets on a Thursday
evening, when we discuss our faith, the Bible and current affairs over cake
and a cuppa.
Bible Study sessions are held as a pastorate and a number of our members
attend those. We also join with our friends across the pastorate for a
service when there is a fifth Sunday in the month.
We
are currently exploring new ways of working with the surrounding
communities. Our first venture was ‘Carols on the Common’ in Ffynnon Gynydd,
when around 50 locals gathered to roast chestnuts, toast marshmallows, drink
hot chocolate and sing carols.
See the ‘worship’ section for details of special
services which are held throughout the year and for further information on
our styles of worship.
