A Beacon of Light for a Rural Community
We worship God each Sunday, offering a warm welcome to all and genuine caring
concern. We are keen to know more about the Lord, His message and how to
make it work in the wider world. Worship is conducted in English, but you
may also hear some Welsh being spoken, as we have Welsh speakers and learners
in the congregation. Our chapel is not a dour place - we like to laugh and we
always linger and socialise at the end of morning worship.
When there is a fifth Sunday in the month, we join with our friends across the
pastorate for a joint service with our minister, Julie. These services rotate
between the 8 chapels in the pastorate, so when we travel to another chapel
we organise a Sunday lunch together in a local hostelry.
We have a house group which meets on a Thursday
evening, when we discuss our faith, the Bible and current affairs over cake
and a cuppa.
We are currently exploring new ways of working with the surrounding
communities. ‘Carols on the Common’ in Ffynnon Gynydd, is now an annual
event.
Our latest venture is a coffee morning in Glasbury Village Hall, where
we provide an opportunity for those who may feel lonely to chat and play board
games with us.
